Hey there… it’s Brandon here and I hope you are doing Awesome! These days people are so freaked out about carbs and losing weight I wanted to clear up some of the confusion for you and give you a plan on using carbs to assist in your weight loss.

Today I want to reveal my top 5 carb secrets to fast and steady FAT loss. I say fat loss because we don’t want just weight loss we want Fat loss.

Never Drink Your Carbs

**Drinking half your body weight in ounces of water should keep you away from calorie drinks

**Most Nutritionist agree that drinking fruit juices such as OJ and Grapefruit juice is the same as drinking your desert. With all the fiber striped away and tons of sugar this spikes your insulin levels in the body and causes you to go into fat storing mode rather that fat BURNING mode.

Never Eat Carbs Alone

**As mentioned above carbs spike insulin levels and your body cannot burn off excess body fat with high insulin levels. Eating proteins and fats with your carbs will help slow the digestion which in turn slows insulin response.

Eat Carbs Right After Your Workout

**After you deplete your muscles, eat some sort of simple carb (Banana, pineapple or watermelon) something that will spike the insulin levels in the body. This needs to be done within the first 20 minutes after you stop your workout.

Once you finish your carb, within 45 minutes of your workout you need to take in protein so the insulin can assist in feeding the protein into the muscles.

Eat Starchy Carbs before 3 pm

**I say 3 pm to give you an idea that starchy carbs need to be eaten earlier in the day. There is nothing magical about 3 pm. Focus on green veggies at night for dinner. Like broccoli, asparagus and even cauliflower.

Cheat with Carbs to Lose Weight

**Most people are so afraid of cheating on their diet, but if you’ve ever been on a diet long term then you know there comes a time where the weight loss comes to a screeching halt.

This is because when you lower your calorie intake to lose weight your body will lower a hormone called leptin.

When this hormone gets to low it tells your body there is a famine and will lower your metabolism to burn fewer calories. To avoid this you need to CHEAT! Pick a day through the week, I teach Friday or Saturday and make this your designated cheat day. For two hours allow yourself to eat what ever you are or have been craving.

You will be amazed when you follow this and watch yourself lose weight after cheating.
