Carbs? Fat? Calories?!!
I hear it all the time; “I’m trying to lose weight so I cut all the fat out of my diet.” “I’m on a diet so I’m not eating carbs” or they ask me “How many calories should I be eating?” These are diets everyone has heard about and most everyone has done a few times in their life.
Well I am going to be honest and blunt; it’s not the carbs, it’s not the fat and it’s not the calories!
Puzzled yet? Well you should be, because the main stream media is confusing the heck out of everyone. If we were to blame one thing I would point the finger at the SUGAR in your diet. Yes sugar is a carb, but it’s not “carbs” that is bad, it’s the sugar.
You can load up on all kinds of good carbs and lose weight but if your diet is filled with sugar or “Fake Sugar” then losing that unwanted body fat will be near impossible.
I could stop there and if you applied that you would for sure lose weight, but if all this other “junk” is in your diet you’ll go so far and stop. So the next public enemy is “processed food.” What a dirty two word phrase. Let me tell you, if it comes out of a box, can, package or a window it’s not good for you! It’s that simple.
All the packaged products that are being sold have all kinds of things your body has to filter out, so let me give you an analogy that I got from Isabel De Los Rios.
Imagine that you have two BIG projects that has to get done everyday. Out of those two projects you focused so much on one you couldn’t do the other so you keep putting it off until tomorrow, and tomorrow never comes because the first project is keeping you so busy.
That is the way your liver is working. It has two big jobs to do all day (there are more but lets keep it simple).
Job number one is to focus on filtering all the poisons you’re putting into the body and job two is break down and metabolize the fat. If you are overloading it with processed food, your liver is spending all it’s time filtering all the toxins and poisons out of the body and not spending much time at all breaking down and metabolizing fat.
So give up the diets they are not working. At least not for the long term. Of course anyone can lose 20-30 pounds, but can you keep it off? If these two staples are holding your nutrition together (no sugar and no processed foods) then I promise you health and well being, but best of all your ideal weight
